Research has shown that your brain chemistry, gut chemistry, metabolism and your five senses play a role in determining what and how much we eat. How you ever found yourself eating just because? Now don’t lie of courses you have, we all do it.
Researches have slowly figured out what controls our appetite ( when and why you eat), and the result are as follows :
• Appetite is controlled by your mind and body. This can start even before food has entered your mouth and it controls the full and or satisfied feeling.
• So appetite starts with :
1. things that stimulate you to look at food ( physical hunger, anticipation of food )
2. your senses such as sight and smell trigger your physical reaction
3. Even once you’re eating the flavors, smells and the chewing process stimulate the appetite and help the body to release enzymes and hormones.
4. It is these hormones and enzymes that give us the felling of satisfaction and fullness and thus sends a signal to the brain.
the problem being here is that when you eat that chocolate bar or packet of sweets for example the high levels of insulin (sugar) and fat in the blood send out satiety signal to the brain and as soon as theses signals are strong they trigger the process to the brain to stop eating, until the empty stomach sends out a new hunger signals. And thus preparing the brain for the next meal. Thus altering the chemical of the brain sensors, and resulting in one craving things. We train our brain how to work thus when dieting one has to reboot the brain into sending the correct messages to the body.
